Come for a meal after visiting ISKCON Kolkata, Sri Sri Radha Govind Temple. Visitors state that they like the menu of Chinese and Indian cuisines at this restaurant. Based on the reviewers' opinions, waiters offer tasty chinese soup, filet américain and chicken chili here. Try good gulab jamun, it's quite nice. Here you can drink great lemonade or delicious coffee.
Olive is recommended for the terrific staff. The cool service is something these restaurateurs care about. This place provides you with a great choice of dishes for average prices. The cute decor and quiet ambiance let clients feel relaxed here.
The newly opened bar offers a wide variety of choices starting from cocktails to other generic alcohols.
We tried :
- Whiskey sour
- Long Island ice tea
- Espresso martini
All of the above drinks were made to perfection by their in house mixologist, Siddharto.
Also tried an apple base mocktail with a sweet and fragrant aftertaste of cinnamon. If the cocktails were not enough to blow your mind, this mocktail surely will.
When it comes down to the food, we ordered a Pan fried chilli fish for starter. The tender bhetki fillets coated with chineese 5 spice was a gastronomical treat.
In main course, had ordered,
- Plain naan
- White rice
- Pulao
- Chicken butter masala
- Chicken kosha
Toothsome delights to fill your hungry stomach and the chef did not disappoint. Absolute perfection when it came down to the butter chicken. Tender pieces of meat doused with fresh cream and butter gravy. The aroma of the pulao also complemented the butter chicken very well. The chicken kosha was made with traditional flavours and paired beautifully with the white rice as well as with the pulao.
Overall a great place to visit with your family.
The newly opened bar and their professional mixologist adds to the options the place has to offer. If you are confused which cocktail/mocktail to order, just let Siddharto make you one with your preferred base and believe me, he won't disappoint you.
The ambience was superb, including the waiting lounge as well as the seating area.
The main attraction is the buffet, which was indeed awesome at the price which it charges.Chicken, Egg, Fish, all you get here and it extremely fresh and cooked to perfection. Also in the chinese section the chowmien was fabulous, and finishing with ice creams, curd and starting with salads, hot daal papad. I think the quality which it offers is indeed superb.
If you are looking for a cheap Indian Buffet, I would highly recommend this to any food lover.
Only setback is the washroom, which is outside the entire restaurant and inside the lounge of the Olive Inn,which in near future, should be looked at.
Thanks for serving us Hotel Niharika and great experience of buffet.
