This restaurant and Kushk Mahal can be both really attractive for tourists. Indian cuisine is what Odisha Niwas boasts. Nicely cooked baked fish, fried chicken and fish fried rice can be what you need.

We ordered Mutton and fish, with Veg thali.. while the veg thali was average, not bad but the Mutton and the fish was way worst, you can’t cook like a moron and represent Odia’s cuisine outside Odisha. We went to the manager and complained regarding this, that fellow manager had no etiquette on how to talk and address our concern instead he was behaving like an rouge ass, such an obnoxious person, such a disgrace. I’m going to escalate this matter, I’m going to tweet and these disgusting people should be removed immediately and they should be taught on how to behave to be respectful to the customers. I’m an Odia, I’ve travelled all the parts, to it’s remote locations in Odisha, I know what Odia food taste like.

Behaviour of the manager Mr Das is very bad , don’t know how to talk to a female and poor customer service. They ill treated us as if we were having food free of cost. Very bad mannerism when you reach at the door step of the restaurant in an empty stomach and expecting some good food and alas little bit of sensible behaviour.Food quality is average and the treatment is worse.

Simply awesome authentic Odiya food...loved the pakhala thali with prawns and chicken...they serve the extensive menu dying lunch, while there are a couple of items missing during dinner...They informed us beforehand about the same..we went ahead nonetheless...Baigana bharta and bhaja were missing, and we were served couple of other dishes which were quite good..the only complain was the badhi Chura wasn't crunchy....The prawns were superb...all these at an unbeatable price of Rs. 400/- for two people...

Before going, do enquire about the timings...Lunch usually starts at 1pm and dinner at 8:30pm...there is no place to sit, if you reach early as they restaurant doors are closed and there is nothing much to do nearby...All in all, a good experience...we would be going for a lunch to Orissa Niwas soon...
