Thank you Akhilan, Rilwan and the staff of Ocean Paradise. We were fortunate to be the only ones to have signed up for the place on the 19th of March and had a wonderful time!! We picked this place for its solitude, snorkeling and value for money and were not disappointed on all 3 fronts! The on the was the superb meal served up by the host himself and we went with what seafood was fresh on the day...one of the best home-cooked seafood meals we had and this is a compliment coming from a Manglorean family whose staple is seafood!! Yes you will need your own transport preferably as this location is far from the madding crowds of the bigger fancier resorts like kushi, Joe's etc....the personalised snorkeling session more than makes up for the larger beaches at other places....my 15 yr old twins rated this as one of the best short trips of their lives' & again this is high praise indeed as we have graced many a beach!! No regrets at all at having picked this place over the fancier resorts in the region as the warmth and affection shown is infectious Rooms: Small spartan but clean and neat; AC works well. Could use a "water-puller" in the bathrooms as sand from the beach finds its way in invariably; also a feet wash tap or pond at the entrance to the property to prevent sand from reaching the rooms. I suggested creating 2 "ponds" using large cement pots and housing Guppies to decrease the mosquito menace in the area (carry some repellant) post sunset. Nearby activities: Temples (one Viloondi Theertham is just a stone's throw away); President Abdul Kalam's final resting place is less than a km away.. walkable. Safety: Safe as houses; no menace as they have their own pie-bodyguards..clean beaches as well Walkability: Need a car/vehicle if staying at this resort and planning to move around as it's about 5-7 kms post Pamban bridge and about 10 km from the main Rameshwaram town where the main temple, APJ Kalam etc are located and some 20 km from Dhanushkodi. Food and drinks: Smart bet will be to pick up your own soft drinks, water etc before you get to the area; they do provide a bottle or two and have a fridge but best to pick up your own soft drinks and mixers before you reach the venue from Pamban area before you get to the bridge especially if you need any c2h5oh as nothing exists post the bridge!! Property could use another fridge to store water and beverages and perhaps can be kept in the dining room space for the guests Noteworthy details: Polite, hospitable and warm staff especially the main man & owner He cooked all the meals himself...while he is reputed to be a certified scuba diver, his #2 Rilwan took my twins' snorkeling so I can't comment on his skills here (Rilwan (26) was gentle and kind with the kids) However he is a fantastic sea food chef...the Prawn fry, Prawn masala, Squid & Emperor fish he served up for dinner was out of this world and we all felt it was the best food we ate over 3 days across cuisines & we covered Rameshwaram, Chettinad (Karaikudi) & the Madurai region !! Rooms: 3 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Romantic, Quiet, Great value

This charming resort, with only four rooms, boasts an incredible location—quiet and serene, offering the exclusive opportunity for snorkeling and kayaking. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, and Mr. Akilan's passion for cooking was evident as he dedicated so much time to preparing and serving meals. Unfortunately, as vegetarians, we couldn't enjoy his offerings. Nevertheless, we spent most of our time in the ocean, enjoying the stunning waters. It truly felt like home.
