Review of O’Nest Resort & O’Leaf Restaurant I liked the location of O’Nest Resort — it’s a little away from the city, offering a peaceful environment amidst lush greenery. The only drawback is the narrow approach road, though we didn’t face any real difficulty reaching the place. The property gives out positive vibes. The reception and entrance are welcoming, and the staff greeted us with warm smiles. The boys at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Accommodation:. The resort offers two types of rooms: Near the restaurant: Two A/C rooms priced at ₹1800 per night. These were clean, with spacious bathrooms fitted with a shower handle. Hot water is available round the clock through a gas geyser. However, the bed was quite hard and the linens didn’t feel fresh. Larger rooms away from the restaurant: These are priced at ₹3500 per night. They are bigger, but the Wi-Fi connectivity was poor. No tea-maker kit was provided, though two half-litre water bottles were complimentary. O’Leaf Restaurant (In-house Dining):. The dining experience was disappointing. The crispy veggies had an excess of carrots and lacked variety. Chapatis were well-cooked. Dal Tadka was poorly prepared — it seemed like just oil and chilli powder added without proper tempering. Veg Biryani was the worst of all — the strong use of star anise and nutmeg completely spoiled the taste. The curry portion overshadowed the rice, making it a disaster. We wished to try Kombdi Wada, but were informed that the curry had to be ordered separately. Still, they charged ₹350 just for the wada, which felt overpriced. The food quality was below average, and the pricing was on the higher side for what was served. On the positive side, the staff were attentive and polite, but it’s clear that the management needs to focus more on improving the kitchen standards. Overall:. It was an average experience. Considering the calm location, it’s still a decent place to stay, but the in-house restaurant needs major improvement.
