ODEA, located near Kotagiri in the Nilgiris, is a fine dining spot that offers a limited but exquisite menu of Badaga cuisine. The establishment's ambience is breathtaking, with a beautiful man-made pond surrounded by tea gardens and hills, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a peaceful meal. The interior design of ODEA is simple yet elegant, with an emphasis on showcasing the natural surroundings. The price range is average, with an average cost of 600 rupees per person.
ODEA's menu features traditional Badaga dishes such as Kothu Parotta, a flaky South Indian bread stir-fried with vegetables and spices, and Kori Gassi, a spicy chicken curry made with coconut milk and tamarind. They also offer a variety of soft drinks and cocktails, including the classic Mojito and the refreshing Watermelon Cooler. The establishment's wine selection is limited but includes a few good options.
One of ODEA's special features is its outdoor seating, which allows diners to enjoy the stunning views while indulging in their meals. However, it is important to note that the restaurant only serves lunch and is open until tea time. Therefore, it is recommended to book in advance, especially during peak hours.
Overall, ODEA is a must-visit place for those who appreciate nature and authentic Badaga cuisine.
Not the best service when we visited but they were probably just short staffed on that particular day. The food was decent. The location is the highlight. It's a very nice place for a bunch of good pictures. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

Below average food not worth going for any food only thing good is the place and the amazing view
One of the best spot at the kotagiri, to have a peaceful lunch at the placeThe ambience of the place is awesome and the main advantage of the hotel,Yet the pricing of the food at the restaurant is as much! The other way about the food availablity is much lower as it works only on certain timings between noon. The visitors are said to avoid the peak time as it has much waiting time for the table..Mostly I suggest to take weekdays to visit there with prior call the day before your arrival and confirm the timing and table with your preferred menu for your visit! They provide you with your own menu when it is ordered the day before or two on your confirmation of the table booking. The quality of the food is much better better the quantity little a disadvantage for the pricing!Have a safe drive and have a great feast at the Odae!
