Recently visited Nishams, and for a small town it’s honestly one of the better places to sit down and have a proper meal. We ordered the cooker chicken, which had a really homely feel to it. The flavours were simple but comforting, the kind of dish that feels like it’s made in a home kitchen rather than a commercial one. The methi matar was decent as well, although we had specifically asked for it to be made with less cream and less sweetness, and unfortunately those instructions weren’t fully followed. The same happened with the mocktail, which turned out quite sweet despite our request. That said, the overall food quality was still good and enjoyable — a solid 7.5/10 for the meal. But the absolute star of the show was their mango beer. It was fantastic — easily comparable to the ones you find in Mumbai or Delhi. Crisp, refreshing, and full of flavour. If you visit Nishams, this is something you definitely shouldn’t miss. A clear 9/10 for the mango beer, and honestly worth going back for on its own. Overall, a nice spot for a relaxed meal in town, and I’d definitely return — if not for the food, then certainly for that mango beer again!
