Nila Hotel is our favorite spot for everyday food. We've often ordered the chicken biryani, which is among the best even in Thrissur city. The rice is super smooth, and the chicken is delicious. I highly recommend their biryani—500 percent! They also offer plenty of breakfast options, including idli, dosa, poori, puttu, noolputtu, velleppam, vada, and pazham pori. The uzhunnu vada is also superb. Although a bit more expensive than other hotels, the vellam and kuruma kari are magical. The kuruma kari, made with pure coconut milk, is particularly noteworthy. The non-veg options are equally good. Overall, Nila Hotel is highly recommended in Thrissur city.
