The day was the 14th of October 2017,aSaturday.I attribute such a phenomenal beginning to my letter not because the day by itself was a remarkable one.Yet the thing about some days are that it becomes special with hope today and with nostalgia tomorrow. We were sitting and lying around in a haze of smoke amidst chequered colours.Eyes were resting on the slice of green through the black grilled windows and squinting back to the sprightly checks of gamchha.Arijita in her trademark big 'nakchhabi' was sitting on a 'mora' ,a cigarette between her fingers. She was smug and happy. We were all happy. The food was excellent. Duck in five spices with corn fried rice was a beautiful combo. It was sumptuous, delicate and delicious. The slow cooked duck was appropriately tender and held the blend of spices well. The welcome drink, yet to be named was a burst of flavours in the mouth with a curious mix of ingredients. Here's to the untamed ideas, the young bravado, scattered friendships, beautiful dishes and one amazing cook! Cheers!! #lettertonicknamecafe #Arijita #Tri #greaterthingstocome
