New Sweet Home Hotel Abhijat is the oldest restaurant in the city where people can sit and enjoy snacks. A neat and clean place serving traditional Maharashtrian n south indian food. As a part of the city food walk got to visit this place today. We tasted matar karanji and upwas kachori. Matar karanji is fresh peas n coconut shavings stuffed in flaky dough. The green chutney balanced the sweetness of the peas n coconut. The upwas kachori was potatoes stuffed with sweet coconut stuffing similar too what is stuffed in ukadiche Modak. The combination of sweet n savoury was lil hatke for me. The coconut chutney was the balancing act. Their peanut-gulkand laddoo, date laddoo, methi laddoo, multigrain laddoo n besan laddoo were all gud.
