Although once it was known as one of the best eateries to savour bengali and local cuisine, the aura is far from over and now is popular mostly with old timers or the ones staying in the hotels around. The prices are standard but the ambiance is that of a roadside eatery and the taste of the items on the menu is mostly fluctuating.
Go to Maa Kali if you wanna have the best food at affordable prices and don't give a damn about hygiene. The food is certainly recommended for Assmese and Bengali communities but i wish their kitchen would step up the hygiene factor. People wouldn't mind paying a little more for that.
Do not go there if you want the Paradise or Khorika experience though...
Never to miss this place.Though not at all higenic but should try once in a lifetime as the food is quiet good and the fish is very fresh. The service is very quick.
