This Restaurant is a historic gem in Ahmedabad with limited dine-in space that preserves its vintage charm. A surprise bonus was the charging port, an unexpected perk when my phone was dying. The Irani Restaurant in Lal Darwaza is definitely famous for its Chai and Maskaban. We visited this Irani restaurant at late-night during Ramadan. It is very crowded on regular days and even more so during Ramadan. Here, for non-veg lover you will find a variety of non-vegetarian dishes () for lunch and dinner, but there are only 3-4 vegetarian dish() options for veg lover. The ambiance of this restaurant is excellent. The staff here is very polite and attentive. Their services are good. The bun and maska were really soft and buttery and if taken with tea, it is a real treat. If you are a tea lover, then you must visit this restaurant once. Payment here is made only through cash. Credit card & UPI-payments are not accepted here. If you are planning to take a four-wheeler here, then there is no parking facility here. So you will have to park your car near the Bhadra Fort or at the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation parking lot on I.P. Mission Road. If you are thinking of going to this restaurant at late-night during Ramadan. Then the residents living opposite this restaurant set up a table for Sehri on the road every day during Ramadan and serve Sehri to all the people who come there for free. I've eaten at this restaurant many times because we really like it. The food is simply delicious! I often came here for breakfast and enjoyed the Maska Bun with Coffee. I've also tried the Mutton Korma and Butter Chicken, all were excellent. The service is friendly and fast, and the restaurant is clean and well-maintained.
