Take your family with you to enjoy nicely cooked masala papad. Most likely, you'll come back to this restaurant later to taste delicious lassi. Whenever you come here, you notice the fast service.

Being a partial Nashikkar, misal holds a very special place in my heart. (well it has to be right, haha) NATKHAT MISAL has made a good attempt to bring a refreshing dash of twist and tweak to the taste of misal by playing around with combinatios of ingredients and by creating pretty decent variations.
You must be thinking...What new can you do with Misal?!?

Well, two things that I really loved were the variety of different styles of misal's that were available here and the idea of coming up with Thali concept for Misal.
(PS- not sure if it's new idea but at least I had this for 1st time)

To name few MISAL dishes that were listed in the menu: Khandeshi Misal, Puneri Misal, Kolhapuri Misal, Natkhaat special Misal thali (couldn't try this one, next time may be) and the one that I ordered was Pahadi Misal Thali.

Well, PAHADI MISAL THALI had a red coloured spicy Misal made in desi ghee. This thali was served as a three course meal (not kidding) in which first they served masala papad and jeera masala which was then followed by the actual thali (comprising of Misal, butter sauteed bread, salad and most importantly gajjar halwa). Just when you thought that we finished the thali, I was surprised by the addition of a very stomach soothing curd rice and sweet lassi (mind it which was part of the thali itself).

Well, my stomach was pretty happy by the end of it!!
Overall, I would give 3.5 on 5 for food and 3 on 5 for ambience.

Home- Yes, that's what this place makes you feel like. It makes you feel like home. That's what stood out for me about this place. A really pleasant typical Puneri misal outlet with all of its qualities. Natkhat Misal is located on sinhagad road in one of the bylanes. It can be a bit difficult to locate if you don't know the exact location. It is a small outlet with indoor seating with around 6 tables. The ambience is average. Not much efforts taken in that department. But then again, does an outlet really qualify as a puneri misal place if it has good ambience ? Talking about the food served at this place, as the name suggests, natkhat misal serves misal and a few other maharashtrian snacks and quick bites. Lets talk about the misal variety served here. They serve puneri misal, kolhapuri misal, khandeshi misal. Along with this they have their natkhat special misal and pahadi misal. These two are more on the lines of misal thali where natkhat special misal gives you an option of puneri/kolhapuri misal along with salad, sweet, papad and dahi. On the other hand, pahadi misal goes a step further with kolhapuri misal along with dahi, salad, sweet, lassi, masala papad and jaljira. I being a punekar obviously went for their natkhat special misal with puneri rassa. And I must say, it was one of the best puneri rassa I've ever tasted. I've been to loads of misal places around the town and it's quite difficult for a place to impress me with their rassa. But this place managed to that. The rassa/tarri had a strong flavour of jaggery and tamarind. The signature qualities of puneri rassa. The rassa had the hint of spiceness and the jaggery and tamarind gave it a sweet finish. Really loved it. The sweet side dish served is usually halwa which is equally tasty. Really loved it. The quality of food is good. The quantity is good. The service is fast. The staff is very polite and make you feel at home. They are very pleasant and that's what makes me visit this place again and again. Lovely people. The prices are slightly on the higher side. They can charge about 15% less and still be reasonable. But taste preceeds everything and if that's present then money doesnt matter. Hygiene is maintained. Will visit this place again.
