I had a HORRIBLE experience at this Nando's branch today. It's one of the worst managed restaurants I've been to. And I have been to many. My husband & I went there for lunch. We requested for a table. The guy showing us the table wasn't helpful at all. We ourselves went to an empty one and asked if it was free. He just grinned & didn't respond. We asked the question again. He just grinned again. We took his grin for an yes & sat there. We requested an extra chair for my bag to which the guy said, " Give me your bag. I'll place it on the counter. " Now, my bag has valuable items. I couldn't have kept it there. I refused & kept it on my lap. Later, one girl was just staring at me. It was quite eerie. To make things better, I called her & asked for some tissues. She brought the tissues & literally threw it on my plate & went away. Then she continued to stare only & only at me! Later the same guy who had "assisted" us with the table joined her. They were both discussing something, staring at me & laughing. It made me extremely uncomfortable. I just called the guy & asked why he was staring at me. He was just laughing still. I later called the manager & complained about these two. They were making a customer HIGHLY uncomfortable. The manager seemed to understand. He took them aside to warn them or something. But it was not at all a good experience. I couldn't even finish my lunch. I left the restaurant without even washing my hands. Please teach the staff to be professional. Maybe they are trainees. That doesn't mean they stare at the customers & laugh.
