A mixed experience. The smoked pork curry had several overly dry pieces—not ideal. The dal lacked salt, which was surprising. The chutney served with the momos was overwhelmingly spicy to the point of being off-putting. The pork momos themselves were underseasoned and flat. The chicken curry, however, was excellent—well-balanced and confidently executed. The fermented drinks were enjoyable but could’ve been served colder, especially given the weather. The rice was of good quality, and most of the chutneys—apart from the momo accompaniment—were quite nice. The crispy pork was trying its best—but ended up a dry, flaky disappointment. I’ve had better versions in street stalls across Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore. This one? It felt like a parody of itself. All crunch, no character. I wouldn’t return, largely because I prefer Thotrin Cafe in Kalina by a wide margin. Still, the visit had its moments. Just ate at this restaurant. Very good place, great food. The pork curry in Naga style was excellent with the purple rice. The waiter recommended to take sticks rice, it would have been better. But wanted to try purple rice. Thank you Naga Belly. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This place serves one of the best pork dishes in Mumbai. They have a little constraint in terms of space and also price is on the higher side. But they really serve authentic naga cuisine. Also if you are lucky you can try the rice beer even though it’s not exactly of the same taste as of authentic Assam or Nagaland rice beer. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
