Far, far away from the madding crowd. Quiet, verdant, as our concept of Kashmir is, gaudy with hydrangeas, foxgloves and ox-eye daisies. Homely food, served without fuss, lashings of freshly brewed coffee: surely unique in the Valley where tea rules the roost, and tastefully appointed, western-style rooms. The most refreshing break you can hope to have anywhere.
