Most guests find the staff cute. If you visit this spot, have no doubt, you are to enjoy the surrounding spectacular ambiance.
The brunch buffet spread is wide and has a range of continental items. The Indian cuisine options are plenty as well. The starters are made live and served at the table. The soup was splendid as well. The main course had veg and non veg sides and a good variety of breads as well was served at table.
Deserts were fabulous as well ranging from cut fruits and Carrot halwa to chocolate pudding.
However, being vegetarians, we felt that the buffet would have had a more balanced veg items as well compared to non veg. We did give this feedback and the chef was happy to prepare something for us specially (sadly, we had already finished eating by then)
VERDICT: great place for a buffet brunch. Slightly expensive but well worth the money.
So I'll start with the first thing you see in a restaurant, the ambience. When I walked into ITC my cafe, I was lost in the ambience. Beautiful ambience. Perfectly in tone with the music they were playing too.
So after we were seated, the manager spoke to us, made us feel welcome. We were served our welcome drinks, and then Chef Sachin Talwar came to tell us what he was going to be serving us. Very jolly men :)
We were served wine of our choice, I went with a Shiraz Rose. It was delicious, taste complemented the food.
So I'll start off with the bread basket and the Italian soup we were served minestrone soup. It was very tasty, with all the cut veggies. I would like to give special mention to the garlic bread from the bread basket, it was out of this world. Then came the Indian starters, murgh kebab and chilli fried fish. Both were beautifully made and melted in my mouth. I loved the kebab.
Next, main course. The signature item, the lasagna. Oodles of cream cheese between the lasagna sheets with mozzarella on top. I found this a little on the saltier end of the scale, but maybe it's just me. Then we had two kinds of gravy mutton and chicken subjis, with an Indian bread basket and white rice. Both the subjis were good.
Table was cleared for dessert. Frozen yogurt with a carrot halwa tart, with cut kiwi on the side. Never expected a gajar halwa tart to be so mind blowing. I could've had a million of those.
Mr Anup and Chef Talwar sat and chatted with us while we had the main course. Light, easy banter. Very sweet and friendly. Amazing hospitality.
I loved the whole experience and I was not ready to leave, but all good things come to an end.
