Had the Fix Thali at Mustard and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The flavors were perfectly balanced, with each dish complementing the other beautifully. From the starters to the dessert, everything tasted fresh, authentic, and thoughtfully prepared. The presentation was neat, and the portion size was just right. My recent visit to Mustard Restro Lounge on December 31st was a mix of highs and lows. While the food quality surpassed expectations with delicious flavors, several aspects of the experience fell short. The ambiance was decent, but the facilities left much to be desired. The small washroom lacked basic amenities like liquid soap, which was disappointing given the overall pricing and the lounge's aspirations. Service was a significant letdown. Despite the sparse crowd, the staff seemed overwhelmed and tardy. Almost every order was served with discrepancies; what was requested was often substituted with something else. This mismatched service dampened the dining experience significantly. On the brighter side, the food itself was a standout. The butter naan, butter chicken (albeit boneless instead of bone-in), egg fried rice, and sweet lime soda were flavorful and satisfying. Despite the mix-up with the salty lime soda, the taste was still enjoyable. However, the steep pricing of the menu items, coupled with the subpar service and facility shortcomings, detracted from the overall dining pleasure. While the food was undoubtedly the highlight, the overall experience left much to be desired. For those primarily focused on taste and willing to overlook service hiccups and facility limitations, Mustard Restro Lounge might be worth a try.
