Absolutely delicious and truly a different blend. But disappointed with the quantity packed. A whole thigh and leg piece is packed into the standard sized aluminium take away pack which leaves very less room for enough rice. (Note that 60% of the thigh piece is bone). Ideally, the container should be bigger to accommodate more rice for the price they charge. Or if that is not feasible at least offer rice alone for an additional price. Probably, it might be a different story when you dine- in. Keeping this apart, it is really a treat for your tastebuds and worth a try.
Have tried the beef, chicken and mutton biriyanis from Mussri. Have to say all are unique in their own respect. I also had a chance to visit the place and to witness the process live. This definitely is one of the best biriyanis in Kochi.
Its been quite a few months, have been a fan of Musrri Biryani. Seems like a new genre of Biryani with its fragrance, balanced spices, well marinated juicy chicken/mutton and light well-flavored rice.
The Afghani Chicken, I tried last week, has a good creamy texture and yet the cashew paste is well- balanced on the chicken pieces. The chicken is juicy. The base gravy is a mixture of different flavors. There is a hint of sweet, sour as well as tangy twist.
The layered chapathi (known as the layered parantha in the northern parts of the country) makes a great companion to the aptly flavored gravy. Even after I finished the Chicken pieces, I finished off the gravy to the last drop.
