Good one on Chennai - Bengaluru highway. Well kept since it started. You have to take slight deviation to the service road as one flyover has come up near it. But no one can miss it. Breakfast was good, though the rates are high. Service is quick. The ambience is good and spacious. There is ample parking place inside the restaurant. The most important Toilets were very clean. When you see the Ambience & service of this particular restaurant, you might feel like it's a duplicate Murugan Idli Shop, But trust me it's part of the original Murgan Idli Shop restaurant chain. I've been visiting this restaurant for many years but I have seen no significant improvement in the quality of food and service. Located strategically on the Bengaluru - Chennai highly, you can access this restaurant even if you take the Hosur route or Chittoor route. The ambience is pretty basic but different compared to other MIS restaurants. It has a cafe kind of seating setup in the middle with stool - table configuration and proper restaurant kind of setup all around it. Even the colour scheme is quite different. They have a huge confectionery sales counter occupying one entire side, toilets and hand wash area on the other side. The neatness in the restaurant is ok-ish. But considering the ongoing road construction situation, I feel they have maintained the cleanliness to their best. The service needs a significant improvement. There is less staff and lack of coordination. A single steward was addressing our entire row which consisted of 6-8 tables. I need to literally raise my hand to call steward to place my next order. However the pace of service was quick. I ordered my favourite Ghee Onion Podi Uttappam which tasted good. Paniyaram (Paddu) was below average and tasted too sour. Podi Idli and Vada were good. I like the so many chutney options they serve and they did pour generous amounts of White Chutney just like I requested. The hygiene of the washrooms were satisfactory. They mix too much water in handwash soap dispenser which is really not appreciable. They accept both Cards & UPI payments. The pricing is a bit high but at par with other highway restaurants. Overall, I recommend this restaurant only if you have no other alternative option.
