Visited this branch which is at walkable distance from Chennai Central station and Park suburban for breakfast and evening coffee. Loved the hot steamy idli, vada and pongal, all served on a banana leaf with hot sambar and 4 varieties of chutney. Coffee was average and their special Jigarthanda was below average. Great service by Mr. Muthu and Ms Mahalakshmi. Need improvement on their ambience, especially the handwash area and toilet. They also have a savoury deck inside. Full vegetarian menu. No wheel chair accessibility. Had a wonderful dining experience at Murugan Idli Shop located in Poongavanapuram! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, taking the time to clearly explain the menu. Their service was prompt, and they ensured we were comfortable throughout the meal. What impressed me the most was how generously they refilled the chutneys and sambar without us even having to ask – such attention to detail truly makes a difference. As for the food – absolutely delicious and authentic! Every item on the menu had that traditional South Indian flavor, served fresh and with love. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking to enjoy a hearty, authentic South Indian meal with excellent service!
