The Benne dosa, thatte idli and sheera were so good. It feels like a smaller place from outside, but it’s very spacious and aesthetic from inside. Everything is carefully curated and put together. Special mention to the waiter who is very mindful about guest preferences and give suggestions accordingly. This is the definition of no bs, good food, good vibes spot Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Visited this place today after noticing it a couple of times while passing through deonar. It was starting to see the magnanimity of this place, though it looks like a quaint cafe under a tree in a not so rushy street -- It's a box of chocolates once entered. The interior is very subtle and clean. Has wooden stools, benches and spacey interiors gives a glimpse of an old quaint cafe in Bangalore ( though I haven't been to Bangalore ) Coming to the menu and food, It continues to follow it's simplistic element with just some benne dosas, idlis , vadas and coffee. I went with the idli vada just with filter coffee for trial. Though the service took time, I could taste the efforts put into making my order -- The idli was soft, warm and comforting, the vada was crisp on the outside, warm but not oily and had a layer of softness on the inside, the coconut chutney was simply fresh with a couple of mustard seeds and some mild spices, the tomato chutney was just a fresh tangy and flavourful chutney and the sambhar was light, spicy, tangy and most importantly not sweet like the usual udupi restaurant in mumbai. This place has a lovely asthetic to the one who is looking for it. The manager tells that this is a starup by 3 engineers, and truly their efforts are visible in their food, decor, service and ambience. Will be visiting again with friends and family to try all the other items in the menu and I'm sure it's gonna be a favourite place for them. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
probably my favourite restaurant in chembur atm. Its the kind of place you want to take your friends and family to, and then they come back with more people. I highly recommend the benne podi dosa and their wadas. The wadas are fried to perfection. For the price, the food delivers insane value. The staff is also super friendly and warm. My only gripe is the waiting period. When we first found Anjaneyar we could get a table immediately. Now we may have to wait for 15 minutes during their peak hour. but hey, thats a sign of a healthy restaurant right. I dont mind waitiing at all as long as the quality of the food remains the same.
