Coming from the Netherlands, I was quite excited to try Mr. Brussels Fries in Kolkata — especially since Belgium is world-famous for its fries. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I ordered a burger and fries and asked if everything was fresh. They assured me it was. However, I noticed they were frying the fries in a small pan rather than the traditional double-frying method used in Belgium. There was also no grill in sight for the burger. When my order was ready, I actually saw the cook take the entire burger — including the bun, lettuce, and pickles — out of a microwave! That already killed my appetite. As for the fries, they were nothing like real Brussels fries — more like the ones you get at KFC or McDonald’s. So calling it “Mr. Brussels” is very misleading. Honestly, I would have been better off just going to KFC or McDonald’s instead. Definitely not worth it. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400
