My experience here can best be summed up as “Uchi Dukan, Feeke Pakwan.” Mr. Beans, being one of the oldest coffee chains originating from Indore, came with certain expectations. I asked for a decaffeinated coffee—something I thought a legacy brand would surely offer. Sadly, they didn’t. While it’s understandable that not every café stocks decaf, I expected better. Then came the real disappointment—ginger ale. I specifically asked if it would be made in-house, and what I was served was far from it. It tasted like an overly sweet nimbu shikanji, syrupy and artificial. Despite multiple replacements, they just couldn’t get the taste right. It kept coming back with the same overpowering sugary flavor, completely missing the essence of a proper ginger ale. This was not the standard I anticipated.
