What's compelling about this place?
----------------------------------------------------
This restaurant is located in one of the prime locations called the MI road of the wonderful city Jaipur. Its a roof top restaurant and is part of a traveler's hostel 'The Moustache, Jaipur'. After you have read the menu, you really get submissive to the food options this restaurant has. But beware that all the good things come at a cost.(If You know, what I mean). Well the ambiance is the next best thing after food.
Interesting fact: As this place is a part of the Moustache(Travel hostel), You are allowed to use the inside stairs to roof top, iff you are a resident of travel hostel.Otherwise lifts are there at your service.
As we were the residents of the hostel for 3 days we skipped all other eatery places, but this. This restaurant being a part of travel hostel we often saw travelers from all the parts of the world visiting this restaurant. May be that's the reason behind those numbers, reflecting on the menu, beside every dish. Certainly, this place is very neat and the entire restaurant team is cheerful.
This is the best place to visit at late evening or night for the dinner.
The one suggestion, only if I can, would be to reduce the wait time in serving the food. It usually takes ~30mins to get the order prepared and served. Well, it is a big deal for a foodie!!
What's there for a foodie @ The Moustache Headquarters?
------------------------------------------------------
Well, if you are looking for the authentic rajasthani dishes (like Khichidi, missi roti etc..etc..) then this is not a place to be. You do get these mostly in all local resturants. Don't you?
But one thing that you get here, and for which Jaipur is famously known, is the Hospitality.
Breakfast has few indulging options like Poha, parathas in veg and many options in Non-veg to go mad about.
Few veg dishes we tried those make this place a standout:
1. Cheese Corn Nuggets & Honey Chilly potatoes: One always wants to start with something hot and spicy ;)
2. BBQ seasoned vegetables: One more appetizer is OK on the platter, if it tastes so good.
3. Pasta Alfredo & Pink sauce Pasta: Pasta lovers will get all the past-ive vibes here. Definitely got to try the pink pasta.
4: Lemon Coriander soup & Chilled Weather: The reason for having soup here after appetizers and mains(take my advice), is that this is when the place turns really cold on an evening and what's better warm up is this soup.
OR
5: Sex on the Beach & Warm weather: Don't run you imaginations wild. If the weather is warm, then go for this mock tail and calm down all the desires.
I am not sure if its an opt dinning place for a family as this place attaracts youngster crowd and is entirely a smoking area(mostly hookah). It was difficult for us to find a smoke-free table every evening we dinned here.
