This Himalayan-themed café in Andheri is a flavor bomb waiting to blow your taste buds away! From the moment you step in, the cozy ambiance and rustic decor transport you to the mountains, setting the stage for a culinary adventure. The Jhol Momos are a must-try – tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, served in a broth that's both soothing and soulful. The Sadeko Chicken momo is a flavor explosion of tangy, smoky, and spicy notes that will leave you craving more. But the real star of the show is the Chicken jhol momos, with tender chicken, fresh herbs, and spices all coming together in the broth. Each dish is carefully crafted to showcase the authentic flavors of the Himalayas, and the presentation is almost too pretty to eat. If you're a foodie looking for a new adventure or just a fan of Pahadi cuisine, this café is an absolute must-visit. Get ready to embark on a culinary journey through the mountains, right in the heart of Andheri! Mountain Goat, a Tibetan restaurant nestled in the heart of Lokhandwala, Andheri West, is a hidden gem that offers a unique culinary experience. With its cozy ambiance, warm lighting, and authentic Himalayan décor, the place transports you straight to the mountains. The restaurant exudes a rustic charm with wooden interiors and subtle Tibetan influences. The service was prompt, and the staff was well-informed about the menu, ensuring a seamless dining experience. The menu at Mountain Goat is a delightful mix of Tibetan and Himalayan specialties, and we tried some of their standout dishes. Pork Sadeko Momo These were nothing short of flavor bombs! The momos were pan-seared to perfection, with a well-seasoned pork filling inside. The Sadeko-style preparation—infused with mustard oil, chilies, and herbs—gave them an extra punch of flavor. Lemon Grass Basil Lemonade & Beetroot Lemonade Both mocktails were refreshing and unique. The Lemongrass Basil Lemonade had a fragrant, citrusy zing, while the Beetroot Lemonade was an earthy yet revitalizing drink with a beautiful deep-red hue. Chicken Thenthuk A comforting Tibetan hand-pulled noodle soup, the Chicken Thenthuk was a complete meal in itself. The broth was hearty, packed with the goodness of slow-cooked chicken, fresh vegetables, and thick, chewy noodles. It was warm, nourishing, and deeply satisfying. Pahadi Bowl (Pahadi Ramen) This dish was a spicy delight, perfect for those who love bold flavors. The glassy noodles added a unique texture, soaking up the rich, fiery broth beautifully. The spice level was on the higher side, making it a great pick for spice lovers! Sangkaya A perfect way to end the meal, Sangkaya resembled the traditional Maharashtrian dessert Kharwas but with a delightful twist. Made with coconut milk, it had a rich, silky texture and a mild sweetness, making it an absolute treat for dessert lovers. Mountain Goat is a must-visit for Tibetan cuisine enthusiasts and foodies looking to explore something beyond the usual. The well-balanced flavors, warm hospitality, and unique offerings make it a standout destination in Mumbai’s food scene. Highly recommended!
