Dear Mr GM, a note with grave regret: An unacceptably delayed check-in at Trident Udaipur was followed by the allocation of a room that was clearly not ready for occupancy. After being made to wait for approximately 45 minutes in the lobby, I was escorted to a room that was in a thoroughly unsatisfactory condition, as evidenced in the attached photographs. After this made to wait in the dirty room for an hour, no updates shared. Making this a total of close to 2 hours waiting time at Trident Udaipur. The issues observed were as follows: • Bedding left undone • Hair scattered across the room from previous occupants • Presence of flies, pointed out immediately to the staff member escorting me • Inappropriate and unsafe placement of a knife • Visible dirt and lack of cleanliness on the work desk Additionally, while waiting in the lobby, I requested a coffee on three separate occasions. Despite repeated follow-ups, it was never served. While I understand that delays can occur due to large wedding check-outs or operational pressures, there is no reasonable explanation for such a basic lapse in service. There is a clear distinction between merely operating a hotel and truly extending hospitality. I had already informed the team that I had travelled overnight to reach this destination property, expecting a warm and seamless arrival. Instead, the entire check-in experience was unwelcoming and deeply disappointing. Guests arrive with positive expectations, having paid in full in advance and placing trust in the brand’s reputation. The experience I encountered fell far below those expectations and was a significant letdown—especially from a property of this standing. Absolutely unexpected. Service: 1

Our stay at Trident Udaipur was absolutely wonderful! The property is stunning — beautifully maintained with lush green gardens where peacocks wander freely, and lovely views of the Aravalli Hills and Lake Pichola. The location is perfect too, just about 10 minutes from Ambrai Ghat and other key attractions. What truly stood out, though, was the service. We genuinely experienced the hallmark “Oberoi hospitality” that the brand is known for. The staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable, even decorating our room to celebrate our kiddo’s birthday — such a thoughtful touch! The restaurant and food were top-notch, both in quality and variety. A special mention to Jyoti at the front desk and Kajal from the restaurant for their warmth and exceptional service. Overall, Trident Udaipur is a perfect mix of elegance, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality — can’t wait to return! Service: 5

We had an awesome experience while staying in Trident, Udaipur and would always want to come back here. Hotel in located on the banks of Lake Pichola in property of Oberai groups. The property had a lavish greenery in their premises. There is a walking track amongst the greenery, and we had nature walk everyday in the morning and could see peacocks, flowers etc.The buffet breakfast included in the tariff had a variety of vegetarian options. Non vegetarian food was available only on orders. We had to wait for more than 15 minutes in the lobby for our turn. The cost of food is too high (Close to 3k for two persons) and so we had our lunch and dinner in other good restaurants nearby which are available in plenty in Udaipur.Most of the channels were available in the LED TV with an option to use OTT services like Netflix, Hotstar etc using our own login.The swimming pool was open round the clock, and we had a nice relaxing time in the pool. The swimming pool offers majestic view of the property.They even had a dedicated kids tent with lots of games & toys, playstation etc. In order to keep the kids entertained, a Puppet shows, pot making activity were performed everyday evening from 5 to 7. The hotel also has a gym for people who take care of the fitness even during holidays.Traditional Rajasthani cultural programs were performed in the evenings.The major attractions like City Palace are less than 2 kms from the hotel.The overall experience was good and hotel staff made our stay in Trident enjoyable. Would recommend for anyone visiting Udaipur.
