We arrived at the hotel around 12:30 PM and asked for lunch, specifically fish curry. The staff informed us that it wasn’t ready yet. When we asked when it would be available, they casually mentioned that they had just gone to buy the fish. It was surprising—what kind of restaurant starts sourcing fish for lunch service at 12:30 PM? Hoping for a quicker option, I considered biriyani, only to find out that it hadn’t even been started yet. Left with limited choices, we opted for the vegetarian meals, which, to be fair, were quite decent. However, the bigger issue was the staff’s hygiene. Their blue shirts were visibly dirty, covered in stains, and looked like they hadn’t been washed in a week. It gave the whole place an unkempt and neglected feel. Being a restaurant on the main highway, it’s easily accessible for travelers, yet it’s poorly maintained. The management—or whoever is responsible—clearly doesn’t seem to care. Surprisingly, despite these issues, the place was still busy, with many customers specifically asking for fish curry meals. Absolutely loved the taste of the vegetarian thali. Reminded me of my Amma’s cooking which I haven’t been fortunate to taste for the last 26 years . The place was very busy for lunch but the servers were trying to keep up in a professional manner as best as they could . I asked for a second helping of payasam and they readily obliged with no issues . The icing on the cake was the bathroom was super super clean . Someone is working very hard to keep it clean . Thank you ! Overall a wonderful experience and I would go there any time .
