Been here multiple times and wouldn't rate the experience as good. By itself, the restaurant is basic - yellow walls, some lights and tables placed well (you won't be hearing your neighbour's conversations). What kills the whole experience is the staff who act like they are doing you a favour. Try asking one of them to repeat the order and they'll look at you as if you are stupid. That itself kills your appetite.
About the food - the veg and non-veg meals are decent for around 120-odd rupees. The beef ularthiyathu was loved by friends from non-Kerala. But the quantity was not impressive. Another friend ordered a Goan fish preparation with appams that was largely bland. The biryani is pretty good too.
But the staff! They leave a sour taste.
