The rude staff is the only thing that can spoil your evening at this confectionary restaurant. Fast service is something clients appreciate here. Monginis Cake Shop got negative comments because of the calm atmosphere. But google users like this place: it was granted 4 stars.

We went to Monginis planning to buy Devil’s Delight, but unfortunately that flavour wasn’t available, so we chose Dutch Truffle instead. The cake cost ₹425, which is comparatively affordable when compared to other popular cake brands. The chocolate ganache and choco chips were good, with a rich chocolate flavour. However, the big downside was the sponge. It was extremely dry. Since it’s a ganache cake, there was no cream layer to balance the dryness, which made the overall texture feel dry. Even after keeping the cake outside for around 30 minutes after purchase. When we had it at night, it still tasted okay, but the next morning the cake had completely stuck to the base, and the sponge had turned hard like a biscuit. I initially thought it might be because the cake was kept in the fridge overnight, so I microwaved it for 10 seconds. The ganache melted, but the sponge remained dry, which makes me feel the cake was not fresh. Sadly, this isn’t a one-time experience. I’ve noticed a drop in quality at Monginis 2–3 times now. Because of this, I would not recommend ganache-based cakes from Monginis. Food: 1
