The piquant flavours of Chinese and Japanese cuisines attract many visitors. Spend a good time here and share perfectly cooked kimchi, misir and seafood with your friends. According to the guests' opinions, waiters serve good soju.
A number of reviewers point out that the staff is creative at this place. Cool service is something clients like here.
1) The Kimchi - which is the life of any Korean meal was really a let down. We usually end up asking for refills but here we did not. One reason for the off taste is because instead of sea salt they had used regular salt I think. So the absence of a good kimchi was sad
2) Another glaring mistake was in Budae JJigae that we ordered. Firstly there was no baked beans which is also an essential part of the dish and the most shocking was the absence of noodles!!! On asking we were told we can have it added for an extra 150/- bucks...Nopes nada that's not how it is...the ramen noodles is a part and parcel of the dish so it was either they were taking us for ignorant fools or just a way to rip off some money, which is sad in both the cases.
3) Bhanchan- the side dishes are complimentary - yes. And we can ask for refills if we want. In fact many restaurants in Korea have a separate buffet like counters for bhanchan so as to skip the hassle of calling the staff again and again for refills. So when we asked for a refill of a couple of bhanchan- the answer was it is over!!! Like seriously if you knew there wasn't any more then don't serve in the first place coz you never know the guest might ask for a refill :(
4) Lastly their air con was working zero in the private room, though the outside corridors were cool. We told them 2-3 times but they could do nothing. Korean food has a fire burning in the middle of the table and on top of that a closed room, you can imagine our discomfort.
The owner/manager was absent hence had no one to pour our grievances to. The staff was casual walking around eating mangoes or sitting in an empty room with the mobile :p so I guess was no point telling them. Though I must say the food tasted soooo good these factors kinda made the overall experience a let down. Hence I always end up going back to Gung's comfort though it may cost a few hundreds more than what we paid here :D. But yes if they kinda polish these lackings I must say they have an excellent Korean fare to offer . So yes do give it s shot at least once If there were different heads to rate would have given a 5 star to the taste
