The quality of food has really gone down in the past 6-7 months. We ordered a Mini South Combo (which consisted of 2 idlis and 1 vada), a Mix Veg Uttapam, Onion Rawa Masala Dosa, and filter coffee.
Idli Combo - The idlis, were rock solid, and not properly steamed. Vada was uneven in shape, and did not look fresh. A South Indian hotel not getting an Idli right speaks volumes.
Mix Veg Uttapam - Very dry. Not recommended.
Onion Rawa Masala Dosa - Oily, no taste. The masala was not fresh.
Filter Coffee - Just a usual coffee, nothing special. Again, the freshness was an issue.
It's sad to see this place like this - the ambience was low, service was decent. It used to be bustling with crowd since it opened up, but the standard has considerably gone down.
If in case any of the UpSouth guys see this, just one recommendation - please focus on maintaining a consistent quality, and ensuring the cleanliness is taken care of - that would definitely help bring back the old cheer!
