Well, I chose to order a takeaway as I live quite far from the restaurant. As Swiggy nor Zomato could deliver, I had Dunzo to do it for me. Samir, a member of one of the sports communities I am a part of, and is a part of the restaurant management, was hands-on in not only recommending the dishes I should order but also helping me in sorting out a tiny confusion with respect to the Dunzo process. (All heart, this guy! ) The dishes arrived as expected. And here’s what I ordered (for three) (Prices and quantity, given right at the end) Brown garlic noodles - 2 plates Chicken steamed momos - 2 plates Pepper prawns in gravy - 2 plate Chicken lollipop - 1 plate The noodles was a well-seasoned perfection of chicken chunks and the brilliant magic of garlic. The steamed momos, well, it’s was the definition of comfort food. The chutney to go with it, that assuming orange-looking paste that caught you completely by surprise in how spicy it could be completely complemented the warmth of the chicken dumplings. It’s the kind of snack I would want to tuck into on a cozy, rainy day. The pepper prawns in gravy had a little surprise inside, one that my daughter and neice pointed out. The crunchy tail was intact, so you started off by biting into the soft meat of the prawn and finished with a perfect crunch not too hard or loud to distract you for the perfect flavours of the pepper gravy. As for the chicken lollipop, I confess I usually seek a Szechwan chutney (with a liberal dose of chopped celery) to dip into. But at Mini Wok, the lollipop came coated in sweet and sour garlic sauce. A first, I admit, but oh what a revelation! And the best part of it all (besides how satisfying the meal was)? The price! I paid a princely amount of ₹950 for the meal, which, by the way, has comfortably lasted for another meal!! That’s a double treat in many ways, won’t you say? (Oh, I certainly do! ) So yes, if you crave Chinese one of these days, head to Mini Wok, or order in. They’ll make it worth your while! Guaranteed!
