Re-writing the review I wrote earlier in consideration of recent visits. Mercy used to have long waiting period for the food. It was not a big deal considering the ambience there. However, the service there has become sub standard these days so much so that they don't even serve drinking water anymore. The order is taken once and then the waiters leave you for eternity. If you're lucky enough to get the food hot, they'll serve the curries first and the breads/rice half an hour later so that the curry gets cold. If you order five dishes, they bring them at five different times spaced half hours apart each in no logical order. For instance, I ordered drinking water when I sat down for ordering and they brought it with the bill with an apology. The food remains good, don't get me wrong. However, the bad service and lack of co-ordination really ruins the whole experience. It is high time the Management takes feedback on service and improves it or trains the staff. previous review:. Mercy serves some of the best food among the hotels in and around Ernakulam city, especially among the ones serving alcohol. The ambience at the rooftop is really good. The place can get loud, but you can still have a good time and hear everyone. There is a pool around which the tables are arranged. The city noise is blocked out by foliage. Not many mosquitoes even though it is open air. There is no music. All in all, Mercy is the go to place, especially for a larger crowd of say, 7-15 people, maybe a family group or a small office party. [email protected] If there has been a drop in service in multiple recent visits or are you referring to latest visit . Through the years we believe we have come a long in terms of service and food delay . Before the kitchen was 5 floors down with respect to the rooftop and hence the delay was often associated with transporting the food . We introduced a satellite kitchen to decrease these issues . We as an organisation do feel that we have come a lomg way . We shall take care to consider and act on your feedback , but also we would like to know if its a one off issue or something recurring . The protocol is to take the order and be in view of the guest if the guest wishes to order anything and not disturb the guest , so in essence the staff will enquire twice to the quest to take the order ie the first order and last order . The concept of bringing 5 dishes at different intervals is to bring the starters as they are prepared to serve the food hot . We do believe that we have come a long way since " if you are lucky to get the curry hot " . Please do share more of your experience in the mentioned email so we can improve
