As a regular customer of this café, it’s truly disappointing to witness the steady decline in service, especially during late-night hours. What was once a cozy spot for a good cup of coffee has turned into an experience marked by ignorance and unacceptable staff behaviour. There is a particular staff member working during the midnight shift who not only lacks basic courtesy but also seems utterly uninterested in serving customers. Instead of attending to orders, he’s often found glued to his phone, completely ignoring people standing at the counter.Even more concerning is his attitude when asked for simple things like an extra cup with your cappuccino—he rudely declines and says it’s “restricted by the owner.” What kind of policy is that? A customer asking for an extra cup isn’t a crime, and there has been no explanation or notice about such restrictions. It feels like the staff member is hiding behind the owner’s name to justify his lack of service. To add to that, the person doesn’t seem to be a trained barista. The coffee quality has noticeably dropped—it’s inconsistent, sometimes lukewarm, and far from what you’d expect at a café that once had a decent reputation.I’ve given this place many chances out of habit and hope that it would improve, but sadly, the poor attitude and unprofessional conduct make it harder each time. A café should be welcoming, especially for regulars. If the management truly cares about its customers and reputation, it needs to seriously reconsider who they entrust with the café—especially during night hours.

Located on the main road approaching City Center Mall , The Melbourne Cafe is easily visible. Parking is available on the side of the road and out door seating options are made available.I saw this place recommend on food delivery apps and after checking the menu online i decided to visit the place. The overall getup and feel is like 'cute' types appealing to a young crowd. The facade and interiors are bright and colourful. My initial reaction though was more like Meh-bourne cafe. Maybe I caught them on a bad day but they didn't appear to have some of the products that I read on the menu online and was really interested in trying out. Also me rolling up on a cycle and in shorts probably didn't help too much either which doesn't reflect too well on profiling but it's okay. The inside is really cramped with very less space to move in and if you're cautious about social distancing you should probably sit outside.I purchased donuts and chocolate cookies and left a bit sceptical but... I was impressed! The cookies were crunchy and chocolatey. The donut was soft. Like really soft and chocolatey. These two products really make me want to try out their remaining products.I'm not a big coffee fan but the place does serve coffee, tea, cold beverages, sandwiches and savories. From a food standpoint I'm definitely interested in trying out their other products.
