Meghraj Food Court @ Wazirpur Industrial Area The name of the confectionery shop is 'Meghraj Food Court'. Meghraj is the second shop of the family after Fatehpuri. Every item is made of desi ghee. Consider Puri Chole and Suji Halwa one of the best in Delhi. The puris are filled with urad dal pitti, accompanied by Amritsari style chole, and aloo ki sabzi. Apart from Sang Lachha Onion, there is a wide variety of pickles. There are also three pickles of kachalu, carrot and ghee and a mango lounge. Cabbage pickle is added instead of ghee in winter. Semolina pudding filled with cashews, raisins, almonds and nuts is wonderful. If you sit there and eat hot, then you will certainly enjoy it. Those who get packed and taken away take half-done puris, so that they can be fried and eaten hot before eating. Sweet lassi is amazingly tasty. The process of making paneer pakodas, samosas and bread pakodas continues even after puri-chhole. Pinni, Patisa, Karachi Halwa and Sohan Halwa are the top sweets among Kaju Burfi. Since when: The shop is related to the Meghraj confectioner's family since 1950 located at Fatehpuri Chowk, Chandni Chowk. In 1990, Hansraj Arora, a son of Lala Meghraj, along with his son Rajeev Arora started here. Now the fourth generation Raghav pays attention to his father and mother Anita. Timings: From 7.30 in the morning (early 7 on Sundays) to 3 in the afternoon, Puri-Chole runs. The rest of the sweets and snacks continue till 8 pm. Understand the location: Coming from Ashok Vihar, in Wazirpur Industrial Area, crossing the railway underbridge and at the first red light, there is a shop on the left. Photo- text: Amitabh S.
