Meenchatty Restaurant is located along the Ernakulam-Thrissur Highway. We visited this place without high expectations, but it turned out to be a delightful surprise. While seated in the upper lobby, a lady brought a large tray filled with fish marinated in flavorful masala, along with different varieties of fish curry, meen peera, meen mutta, and more. Larger fish like kalanchi, hamour, and para are priced according to their weight and preparation. The food was exceptional. A meal costs only ₹80 per person, and the fish curry (kera choora) priced at ₹180 was enough for three people. Everything was served on a traditional banana leaf, adding to the experience. The restaurant has limited parking space in front, but the friendly and attentive staff made our visit enjoyable. I recently visited this restaurant for a meals. While the food was decent, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed uninterested and displayed a lack of hospitality, which affected the overall dining experience. I hope the management addresses this to improve their service quality.
