Ruchiyidam Resto Café is a newly opened eatery in Kurianad, Kottayam, which became functional just two months ago. The restaurant was previously known as Mayuri Restaurant but now operates under a different management. A group of young entrepreneurs has taken the initiative to run the place, with a vision of delivering good food and quality service. While the restaurant shows promise, it still needs some time to fully establish itself and refine its offerings. Location & Ambience One of the strong points of Ruchiyidam Resto Café is its location. Situated right on MC Road, it is easily noticeable and accessible. The ambience inside the restaurant is pleasant, offering a comfortable setting for diners. Whether you are looking for a quick bite or a relaxed dining experience, the overall atmosphere adds to the appeal of the place. Food Quality & Taste For this visit, I opted for a takeaway order of porotta and chicken fry. Porotta: The porotta had a good texture but felt slightly dry and rough. A softer and fluffier consistency would have made it more enjoyable. Chicken Fry: The chicken fry was a bit too hard and lacked the expected crispiness and flavor in its outer coating. The seasoning did not deliver the typical taste one would anticipate from a well-made chicken fry. Gravy: The gravy provided alongside the porotta turned out to be excessively spicy, making it difficult for anyone at home to consume it comfortably. Adjusting the spice levels to cater to a wider audience would be beneficial. Service & Hospitality Despite the food not being up to the mark, the staff’s hospitality and courteous behavior stood out. The team at Ruchiyidam Resto Café was polite, well-mannered, and attentive to customers. This level of service certainly adds a positive touch to the overall experience. Room for Improvement While Ruchiyidam Resto Café has great potential, there are a few areas where improvement is necessary: - Enhancing the quality and consistency of the food, especially in terms of texture and seasoning. - Fine-tuning the spice levels in the dishes to cater to a broader range of customers. - Ensuring the fried items maintain the right balance of crispiness and tenderness. Final Verdict Ruchiyidam Resto Café is still in its early stages, and with some refinements, it can evolve into a go-to food spot in the area. With its prime location, good ambience, and friendly service, it has a solid foundation. However, a stronger focus on food quality and taste is essential for it to stand out among competitors.
