The success of Mattam Residency wouldn't be possible without the patient staff. Fine service is something visitors appreciate here. As a lot of reviewers remark, the ambiance is lovely. But people rate this place below average on Google.

Decent rooms and service and definitely the best in Kuravilangad. The only bad sides are the lack of easy access from main road and the late night locking of the front lobby. Many others also highlight this weird practice. It's confusing to first time visitors and reduces the otherwise decent hotel experience. Having said that, Jomi and rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful to our party. Will stay here again.

We checked in at Mattam Residency, Kuravilangad, Kerala on Dec 20, 2024 evening. We had to attend a memorial mass of our Grandmother morning 7 AM, and after getting ready reached the hotel entrance at 6:15 AM only to find the entire premise had been locked from outside. After trying to find anyone at the hotel inside and finding no one, and unable to reach anyone at the hotel numbers listed on the hotel website, we have now called the Kerala Police. Seriously wonder how this hotel even managed a licence given guests will be stuck in situations such as a fire hazard. The Mattam Group management should consider doing better given the disrepute these kinds of experiences bring to the State and Kerala Tourism.
