Matsya Freestyle Kitchen - On the roof of Samata's - a holistic retreat - in the idyllic village of Pernem, looking over verdant grounds, the setting is a pure delight. And the food....oh la la! Delicious!!!
Chef Gome's food is really innovate as a modern cuisine should be. It is known as a freestyle kitchen as the menu changes regularly based on what is seasonal and fresh. Ain't that cool???
Most of the ingredients are sourced from their organic garden nearby. A 5 to 7 course meal awaits you - one simply picks their preference in protein (seafood, meat or vegetarian) and the rest is a scrumptious surprise! They take pride in their seafood creations.
The best gourmet experience ever.
A small cozy restaurant tucked deep into the arambol side of Goa offers a set six course menu , in which the chef takes you down a absolutely amazing gastronomic lane and unravels exquisite gems one by one. The dishes are so complex , that each layer blast with a diffrent flavour. The chef daftly plays with texturing and layering of exotic flavours , thing you have never heard of. We had a veg sushi platter with sring rolls and pineapples , avocados , and so kn , then a veitnamese tacos - tacos with sprouts , veggies , buffalo cheese and portobello mushrooms , then a course of 3 different mushrooms stuffed in zuccini flower with sweet corn cream and parmesan cheese , a cauliflower pizza which had a base made up of cauliflower , tomato sauce and basil in base ad some toppings, and then a main course and desert equally complex. All in all an out of the world experience. Go if u like ectraordinary dining experience and but not if u like onlh indian punjabi food or fast food with lots of cheese. P.S they take prior reservations and is really expensive.
