Not only should Backyard be visited, but also Mathsya Adayar Branch. Chinese and Indian cuisines can be served here. If hungry, come here for nicely cooked sambar, paneer and tomato soup. It's time to try good ice cream, payasam and pancakes. Great coffee is the right choice.
This restaurant is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. You are to be pleasantly impressed with low prices at Mathsya Adayar Branch. We went on a buffet on Saturday. Food was in decent taste but it not fit ogor buffet coz it had less varieties. Not sure why ppl say it has great variety. I went on based on the reviews but it was not a great experience. No crispy corn and not even fruits were available. They shown pasta as on of the variety in YouTube reviews and images in Google but when I went we dnt see any of that. Yes, it's pure veg buffet which was the first preference to go there but for price - 679/person it could have been better. Not worth the hype and price. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Very worst service and food. I see that Matsya, is a decent sized organisation, which have failed to even plan for a weekend. Surprise is they have half the restaurant in Buffet, menu driven section no one was there to come and collect order for almost 25 mins the tables no one is there to clean. The standard is dropped significantly regret for coming here Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹800–1,000 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

NOT RECOMMENDED - Utter Disappointment - My daughter had booked for buffet lunch for 3 of the family at Mathysa, Adyar for 7th July'24 to treat her father on his 61st birthday. But when we went there, we were told that there was NO booking at all! The place also was heavily crowded. Possibly, they prefer walk-ins more than advance booking! So, I suggest not to take chances with Mathsya, Adyar while making advance booking especially when you want to celebrate any special occasion with friends and relatives ...! Better places are available with more disciplined handling of customers! Of course, we took our lunch at a different hotel with far better ambience and best service!
