*Disappointing Experience with Pothichoru and Rude Staff* I recently ordered Pothichoru from Hotel Mathayis, but unfortunately, it was a letdown. The rice was rotten, and the side dishes were also below par. Given the price of 150 rupees, I expected a much better quality of food. What was even more disappointing was the staff's response when I brought this to their attention. Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, some of the staff members were extremely rude and dismissive. They told me that if I didn't like the food, I could leave. Such poor customer service and attitude from the staff is unacceptable. I hope the hotel management takes immediate action to address these issues and provide better training to their staff. This was my second visit to Mathai's restaurant, and unfortunately, it was far from satisfactory. The service team was highly uncooperative, with no staff available in time to even serve water. The wait for our drinks was frustratingly long, as we could see them sitting at the kitchen counter, neglected by the servers. The sandwich we ordered lacked freshness and was served without any ketchup or side dish, making it a disappointing experience. The most alarming issue was the restaurant's hygiene. Certain areas appeared murky, the wall fan resembled an exhaust fan that hadn't been cleaned in ages, and the table was infested with houseflies. When I pointed out the need for cleaning to the manager, they merely laughed as I walked away, which was utterly unprofessional. Highlight: The only saving grace of this visit was the biryani, which was exceptionally delicious. Overall, the experience was deeply underwhelming, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless significant improvements are made.
