pathetic food.. didn't feel like matamaal (moms home) at all.. i think the chef has forgotten his roots and how to cook kashmiri food.. total disaster.. would never order or visit Matamaal..tabakmaaz was smelling bad..mutton rogan josh was tasteless, lacking the authentic flavour.nadur monjya seemed like only fried nadru.. no taste again..the only thing that was a saviour was the dum aloo which was decent enough and had that gravy oozing out of the alloo.I actually threw the entire food except for dum aloo.had high expectations but sheer disappointment..

the food was very disappointing .being a kashmiri pandit away from home this resturant gives us the taste of home . and in such a moment i ordered food from matamal. but i was vwry much disapppinted with the rates amd the taste of food. the food was way too oily like literally swimming in oil and i know how kashmiri dishes are coocked so to one extent oil would not have bewn imthe issuw bue this was way too mych and vey unhealthy. the second most disappointing thing was despite being so pily the food had no flavour. i was very triggered at the fact that is was not worth it yet so ovwrpriced. very very disappointed!!

The food is overpriced now, and serving sizes have reduced. As a loyal Matamaal customer from the beginning, it’s disappointing to see the experience being commercialised.
