Stopped by Mast Malvani Restaurant while traveling to Konkan — it’s right on the highway, making it a convenient spot to take a break. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, perfect for a quick but satisfying meal. The food overall was quite good. We tried both the fish and chicken thalis — the curries were flavorful and well-prepared, with the chicken gravy being especially delicious. However, the roti and bhakari were not served hot, which was a bit of a letdown. The solkadi was also disappointing and lacked the authentic zing you’d expect. That said, it’s still a decent stopover with clean washrooms, which is always a plus on highway journeys. With a few small improvements, especially in the service of hot items, it could be a real gem for travelers.
