We recently went to Maryada Rammana in Kondapur for a team lunch, and it turned out to be a pretty memorable experience. The restaurant is located on the first floor of the building, and while the entrance is simple, once you're in, it feels spacious and welcoming. The ambiance is clean and comfortable — nothing too flashy, but definitely pleasant enough for both casual meals and team gatherings. The menu here is a real treat for lovers of Andhra and Rayalaseema cuisine. They offer a wide variety of dishes, and we tried to sample as much as we could during our lunch. We started with a round of soups — Munagakaya (drumstick) chicken soup, Mutton Shorba, and Tomato Soup. Each of them had a unique flavor profile: the mutton shorba was rich and warming, the chicken soup had that homemade, spicy touch, and even the tomato soup, often overlooked, was surprisingly well-prepared and tasty. For starters, we went all in with Mokkajonna Gaarelu, Karvepaku (curry leaf) Chicken Fry, and Chicken Drumsticks. All three were solid hits, but the standout for me was the karvepaku chicken — crispy, full of bold South Indian spice, and absolutely addictive. It had that perfect blend of heat and flavor that lingers just enough to make you reach for more. For the main course, we ordered Garlic Naan paired with both Chicken Curry and Mutton Curry. The naan was soft, garlicky, and served hot. While both curries were good, the mutton curry definitely stole the show — the meat was tender and cooked to perfection, soaking up all the spices beautifully without being overpowering. To wrap it up, we had their special biryanis — both chicken and mutton. The Maryada Rammana Special Chicken Biryani took about 15 minutes to serve, and you could tell it was slow-cooked — the rice was aromatic, the chicken well-marinated, and the presentation itself felt premium. The mutton biryani was also flavorful and hearty, perfect for meat lovers. Overall, the place impressed us with its authentic flavors and variety. If you're someone who enjoys spicy Andhra or Rayalaseema-style food, this place is worth a visit. It’s especially great for group lunches or casual family dinners — just make sure to go in with an appetite!
