I have been connected as a customer of this restaurant since 2007, and every time I visit Dehradun, I make it a point to stop by. The soup noodles, tea, and overall atmosphere have always remained the same, and I've always felt positive there. However, I'm not sure why, but in 2025, possibly due to inflation or increased popularity, the prices have doubled compared to other restaurants. Now, a masala tea costs ₹90, a regular sandwich is ₹250, and 4-5 soupy momos are priced at ₹250. I would love to visit again, but it's no longer within my budget. Sadly, today will be my last visit. The 2 person cost is 700-1000rs.Finally, Thank you for the beautiful memories, Marigold! Price per person: ₹600–800 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
️ Casual Vibes, Premium Prices, Zero Chill (Literally) Walking into Café Marigold feels like stepping into a time machine—except instead of going back, you’re apparently dining in the year 2030, judging by the prices. For a casual eatery, the cost of a simple meal could make even a fine-dine chef blink twice. I half expected them to offer me a loan EMI plan for the lemonade. The place boasts an atmosphere best described as "open-air sauna"—because there’s no cooling, and Dehradun summers don’t play nice. With only one staff member juggling everything from taking orders to probably doing the dishes, service moves at a speed best suited to meditation retreats, not hungry customers. Now here’s the real twist: right next door, Mitho Thakali serves similar food in a fine dining setup, with better service, AC, and actual value for money. How is the upscale place more grounded than the casual one? Dear Café Marigold, just a thought—you don’t have to predict the economy for 5 years ahead when printing your menu. We’re still in 2025, and we'd like to afford lunch today. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
