Visited Lhasa Tibetan Kitchen in Dehradun recently. We have been regular customers and used to visit this place quite frequently because we genuinely liked their paneer momos. In fact, on this particular day, we travelled almost 30 kilometres specifically to eat momos at Lhasa only — not at any other place. This visit was planned for almost three days. It was not a random visit. It was also my birthday, and I came there with my friend expecting a good experience, especially from a place we trusted and liked. However, the behavior of the staff completely ruined the experience. When we entered the restaurant and were about to choose a table to sit at, a staff member immediately stopped us and repeatedly insisted that we sit at another place “because there is a heater there.” We clearly told that staff we were comfortable and wanted to sit at the table we had chosen. Despite this, they kept insisting and did not allow us to sit there. Finally, they said that we cannot sit at that table because the owner is sitting at the next table. This felt extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. As customers, we should be free to sit at any available table. The presence of the owner should not make customers feel unwelcome or treated differently. Travelling such a long distance just to visit this place, planning the visit in advance, and then being treated like this — especially on my birthday — felt really bad. It was disappointing and embarrassing. This is not how loyal customers should be treated. A restaurant should make customers feel welcome, not embarrassed or pushed aside. If the owner wants privacy, that should be managed internally — not by denying customers a seat they prefer. Very disappointed with this behavior. Good food cannot make up for bad hospitality. Management seriously needs to work on staff training and basic customer respect. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Hey Ashish,Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. I'm really sorry to hear about your disappointing experience at Lhasa Tibetan Kitchen, especially on your birthday. That's definitely not how we want any of our guests to feel, let alone someone who has been a regular customer and traveled 30 kilometers specifically to enjoy our paneer momos. What happened with the seating situation is completely unacceptable, and I sincerely apologize for how our staff handled things. You're absolutely right that as a customer, you should be able to choose where you want to sit, and the way you were repeatedly insisted upon to move was unprofessional and disrespectful. No customer should ever be made to feel unwelcome or embarrassed in our restaurant, regardless of who else is present.I really appreciate that you planned this visit for three days and chose Lhasa Tibetan Kitchen over other momos places in Dehradun. The fact that you've been a loyal customer who genuinely enjoyed our authentic Tibetan food, particularly our paneer momos, makes this situation even more disappointing for me to hear about. You're spot on when you say that good food cannot make up for bad hospitality. We take pride in serving the best momos in Dehradun and traditional Tibetan cuisine, but that means nothing if our customers don't feel valued and respected. I'm personally going to address this with our team immediately and ensure proper training happens so this never occurs again.I'd really love the opportunity to make this right with you. Your loyalty and support mean a lot to us, and we've clearly let you down. Please know that your feedback is being taken seriously and will help us improve our service at Lhasa Tibetan Kitchen. Thanks again for being honest with us, Ashish.

Lhasa Tibet Kitchen truly gave us a wonderful family dining experience. We went there for dinner and absolutely loved every bit of it. The food was exceptionally tasty and very thoughtfully prepared. I personally relished the momos and the honey chilli chicken, they were simply outstanding and brought back so many fond food memories. The hospitality deserves a special mention. The staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. The typical Tibetan ambience added to the experience the place has a cozy, comforting vibe that makes you want to sit back and enjoy your meal. Most importantly, it offers great value for money. Good food, great service, and a pleasant atmosphere made it a memorable time for my family and me. We had a fantastic evening and will surely be visiting again.
