My recent dinner at The Mango Groove was, unfortunately, one of those nights you hope to forget. Everything that could go wrong, did. The place was noisier than a street market, with speakers blasting so loud we couldn’t even talk across the table. When we asked if they could turn it down slightly, the waiter just smiled awkwardly and disappeared — nothing changed. The food didn’t help redeem the experience. The portions were shockingly small for the price, and the quality was nowhere near acceptable. The grilled chicken was dry to the point of being leathery, the pasta tasted straight out of a packet, and the mango cheesecake — supposedly their highlight — arrived half-melted and lukewarm. It looked more like something forgotten in the sun than a dessert. To make matters worse, our bill included items we never ordered. When we pointed this out, the staff initially argued before finally correcting it, but not once did anyone apologize. That lack of accountability spoke volumes about the management. If The Mango Groove spent half as much effort on kitchen quality and staff training as they do on their Instagram photos, it might actually live up to its name. As it stands, it’s a good-looking disappointment — one I won’t be revisiting or recommending. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I visited The Mango Groove last night, expecting a relaxed dinner and good food, but the experience turned out to be quite underwhelming. The place has a nice name and atmosphere at first glance, but that's where the positives mostly end. The service was painfully slow - it took nearly 30 minutes just to get our starters, and when they arrived, the spring rolls were soggy and barely warm. The main course didn't fare any better; the curry was bland, and the naan felt stale, as if it had been sitting out for a while. For a restaurant that markets itself as a "fusion dining" spot, the flavors felt flat and poorly balanced. What made things worse was the lack of attention from the staff. They seemed distracted, and every small request - from water refills to cutlery - required multiple reminders. Cleanliness wasn't impressive either; our table had smudges, and the menu pages looked worn out and sticky. The drinks were decent, and the live music was okay, but neither could overshadow the disappointing food and service. It felt like a place that relies too much on ambiance and too little on actual dining experience. Sadly, I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

my night at The Mango Grove was a nightmare of undercooked food, rude service, and rip-offs. Waited 45 minutes despite empty tables, only for half-raw pasta, pork chops riddled with sharp bones, and grainy prawn curry that tasted stale — totally unsafe and flavorless. Tough steak and bland sizzlers weren't worth the hype or price. Staff was outright rude: bartender yelled about table moves, ignored drink orders, and we chased the bill endlessly. Overcharged for water (₹38 vs ₹20 MRP) plus un-ordered extras — pure greed. Even seating favored foreigners, with dumb rules like no coffee after 6 PM. Skip this overpriced dump; Candolim has far better options. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
