Have visited after a very long time. Had prwan ghee roast, pomfret masala fry, and fish thali. Love the taste, its really good. The food is prepared fresh on your order and fish is very fresh. Really recommend for fish lovers. The waiting time is a bit testing, but worth the wait. Time and visit, can have good food at peace. And its not too costly too. Also try their kokum soda. I have not tried any chicken items, would highly recommend for fish lovers. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Visited for lunch. Neer Dosa was dry, squid was not over cooked. Bangda Rawa fry was over coated with Rawa and no fish. Prawns ghee roast masala - not recommended. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Their specialty lies in their Thali meals, with three variations—fish thali, chicken thali, and a combination of sides like neer dosa, biryani rice, rasam, and more. The thalis are generously portioned, so much so that I ended up sharing mine with my partner. Located on the first floor, the restaurant has a spacious seating area with pleasant decor, creating a comfortable dining atmosphere. The staff is quick and polite, ensuring a smooth dining experience. In terms of taste, most dishes were flavorful, though I found the chicken curry in the thali a bit of a letdown. The kokum was sweeter than expected, missing the signature tangy kokum flavor. However, the rest of the items were delicious and satisfying. Apart from thalis, they offer an extensive menu with single dish options, giving plenty of variety to choose from. Overall, Mangalore Sea Palate is a good place for coastal cuisine lovers, with a few areas that could be improved for an even better experience.
