As a local, I feel compelled to warn visitors about the Mangalambiga Coffee and Tiffin Center in Kumbakonam. Despite its flashy exterior, this establishment is nothing more than an imposter, riding on the name and reputation of an iconic local eatery established in 1914. Unfortunately, this place offers none of the quality, service, or authenticity of the original.I visited this place recently and was sorely disappointed. The food was stale, a clear sign that they do not prioritize freshness or customer satisfaction. To make matters worse, I was overcharged for my meal. When I brought this up to the staff, they were dismissive and rude, showing no interest in addressing the mistake.This place seems to target unsuspecting tourists, luring them in with a recognizable name, but delivering nothing close to what they promise. If you're looking for an authentic Kumbakonam experience, I strongly advise you to avoid this place at all costs. Save your money, and don't fall into this tourist trap.
