I normally don't write negative reviews, but in this case ill make an exception.
We booked our table for 8 people almost 2 hours ago and went at 14:00 and left at 17:30. Yup, it really took us that long for our lunch.
Starters:- Honestly, The taste was not that bad, what sucked was the quantity and service. We were 8 people and they served us 5 pieces for every 20 mins. We had to ask ask ask and finally give in.
Main course:- Don't even get me started on this, the Roti's weren't properly cooked, the curries were all watery, bland and overburnt. They took what looked like ages to get an item. Biryani was absolutely terrible. No Raita, No Salan, No Green Chutney and no Drinking water also. They apparently 'ran out' of supplies.
Desserts:- 2 varieties of Ice-cream which were so bad and gulab jamun which were hard to chew.
And apparently when we complained to the manager about this, he himself accepted that the food wasn't up to the mark because his chefs 'weren't present' on that day. He kept repeating the same thing over and over for about 47 mins (we spoke on call). He gave me a reduced price but even that was wayyy too overpriced for what we had.
TERRIBLE Experience. I really don't understand how this place has such high rating.
The worst buffet and service you can ever get. The ambience is anyways FKD - BUT NOW IT'S TOTALLY FKD. THE FOOD IS STALE AND THE STAFF DON'T WARE MASKS ETC... AVOID COVID19 AND THE PLACE
Food-(4/5) The thing with Mandil is the number of varieties in their buffet menu. We had been to the other outlet and enjoyed our food, and this time here also it was good. Although the service was a bit slow, still we enjoyed our time on 31st December.
Service- (3.5/5)A touch slow, but thery were good. Only drawback was they had to be reminded multiple times. They need to handle crowd a better way.
Ambience-(4/5) It has decent ambience, good to go with a gang. Typical buffet place ambience.
